Fiber Counts & Tape Weight
The weight of the tape is a factor to consider. With our Ultra-Glass tapes, we pack the strongest possible fiber counts into the thinnest possible tapes to keep the weight down while keeping the blades strong.

Elongation
Tapes elongate (stretch) when excessive pulling force is applied. Ultra-Glass always returns to its proper length after the pulling stops. Our extremely high fiberglass strand count is the reason. To keep your measurements as accurate as possible, don’t pull too hard on your tape.

Replacement Blades—
Keson Ultra-Glass fiberglass tape measure refills are exact replacements. They are manufactured with the same stringent standards and specifications as the original tapes in our open reel cases.

Replacement blades are available for all the tapes. Replace the category letters with “RF” (for ReFill) and use the same blade number. E.g. OTR 10300 replacement blade is RF 10300. For a replacement handle part number, use the category letters, the tape length and the letters “RH” (for Replacement Handle). E.g., a new handle for a 200-foot OTR tape can be ordered under number OTR200 RH.
